Personnel Advisory Committee (PAC) Online Training

  Video lectures
  Case studies with experts
The Department for Education and Child Development and the Australian Education Union have developed this online training to inform Personnel Advisory Committee (PAC) representatives of:
  • the role of the PAC
  • their role as PAC representatives, as outlined in the South Australian School and Preschool Education Staff Enterprise Agreement 2016.
This is a self-paced training session that should take approximately 90 minutes to complete. You may pause at any time during the session and resume your learning later.

Where training in groups occurs, the names and employee ID numbers of participating individuals should be provided to with line manager / site leader verification. Completion will then be recorded in the individuals' plink profiles.

This course is divided into three parts:
  • Part 1: About the Personnel Advisory Committee
  • Part 2: Operation of Personnel Advisory Committee
  • Part 3: Personnel Advisory Committee Matters for Decision Making

Who must complete this training?
This online training is mandated for all PAC members and is a prerequisite to the follow-up face to face training. Once you have completed the online training you can register for a face to face training session.  You must complete both parts of the training.

Additionally, all school and preschool staff members, in particular proxy PAC members, are encouraged to complete this training as part of their contribution to supporting effective decision making at the local level in human resource management.
